Adirondack Health Institute LGBTQ+ Resources

The Adirondack Health Institute developed the LGBTQ+ Health and Human Services Unit to address the non-HIV-related health disparities of LGBTQ+ persons in NYS. This initiative supports improved access to health care and supportive services, improved health outcomes and quality of life for LGBTQ+ individuals, capacity building and increased community awareness of the health and human service needs of LGBTQ+ communities across New York State.

AHI seeks to develop an understanding of the concepts behind navigating LGBTQ + health care needs in order to help deliver a higher level of patient satisfaction and overall health outcomes for this community.
