Thank you Adirondack Health Institute (AHI) for providing RISE staff with the LGBTQ+ Training and the buttons, pens, water bottles, and flag to help us to promote acceptance and equality in our workplace.
The training helped our staff develop an greater understanding of how to communicate with and create an atmosphere of acceptance for LGBTQ+ individuals.
The Adirondack Health Institute developed the LGBTQ+ Health and Human Services Unit to address the non-HIV-related health disparities of LGBTQ+ persons in NYS. This initiative supports improved access to health care and supportive services, improved health outcomes and quality of life for LGBTQ+ individuals, capacity building and increased community awareness of the health and human service needs of LGBTQ+ communities across New York State.
