RISE Field Day Picnic: A Day of Fun, Food, and Connection

On Wednesday, June 11th, the peaceful grounds of Gavin Park were anything but calm as RISE staff descended for our annual Field Day Picnic. What started as a wholesome team-building event quickly evolved into a full-blown, no-mercy battle for bragging rights. (Okay, maybe not that dramatic—but things got competitive.)

Fueled by a catered BBQ and ice cream, staff took on everything from relay races and trivia showdowns to a karaoke session. Teams were formed. Alliances were forged. There may or may not have been pre-race stretching and suspicious amounts of “strategizing.”

Let’s just say, no one expected the human ring toss to get that heated.

Beyond the laughter and good-natured chaos, what really stood out was the incredible sense of community. Whether you were racing, singing, or just enjoying the sunshine and snacks, everyone brought their A-game—and their best attitudes.

Huge thanks to everyone who made the day happen and to every staff member who showed up ready to have fun. You all made this year’s picnic unforgettable. Until next time—start training now, because next year’s competition is already brewing.
