Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition
The Rise to the Extra Mile Recognition is given to highly motivated individuals who go that extra mile in their job. Rise to the Extra Mile honorees get to park in a designated parking space at the RISE administration office.
Congratulations to Janessa Ellmers, Adult Care Manager Supervisor, as the May Rise to the Extra Mile recipient.
Janessa is very helpful to new staff, making them feel welcomed and helping them learn their jobs.
She is informative and always goes beyond the call of duty for her clients. She is kind to all parties involved when working with clients, their families, and their service providers.
Rise to the Occasion Recognition
The Rise to the Occasion Recognition is given to individuals who see a need within the agency and go above and beyond to fill that need.
Congratulations to Jenna Espy, Community Outreach Court Coordinator, as the May Rise to the Occasion recipient.
While the Outreach Program was understaffed and in a transitional period, Jenna stepped up astronomically. Instead of becoming overwhelmed, she kicks it into overdrive and gets the work done. Jenna has come such a long way and is absolutely incredible with the clients, who greatly respect her.
Victoria, the Outreach Program Director, and Jenna work seamlessly together and Victoria knows that if she’s ever out or unavailable, she can absolutely rely on Jenna.
She is up for any task and takes any opportunity to grow and learn. Jenna has taken it upon herself to go above and beyond for the clients she works with, such as getting clients into services that had been overlooked by other providers, and takes a fully person centered approach with every person she meets.
Staff on the RISE
Staff on the Rise is an employee recognition program which recognizes staff who possess an exemplary work ethic, excel on the job, are team players, and are an inspiration to others.
Congratulations to Nicole Smarro, Hedgerow House House Manager, as the May Staff on the Rise recipient.
Nicole was recognized as the very first Staff on the Rise in February 2021. Since then, she has continued to grow and excel as Hedgerow House Manager. She began her tenure at Hedgerow House in November 2016 and has been the House Manager for over four years.
“Nicole is always willing to go the extra mile. She is very accommodating, and willing to do anything to help,” her coworkers say. “She has amazing work ethic,” shares Stephanie Gudebski, Case Manager. “Nicole excels at her job and in quite a few extra jobs that she is not even required to do. She’s always there for help. She is a team player and inspires both Hedgerow House staff and clients with her presence.”
