RISE presented the 2025 RISE Above and Beyond Award to the Saratoga Springs Police Department Community Engagement Officers:on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the RISE Presents The Rocky Horror Picture Show VIP Cocktail Party at the Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs.
Each year, RISE recognizes community members who go above and beyond in supporting our agency and the individuals we serve—those facing mental health challenges, addiction, or homelessness. In past years, this honor has been awarded to leaders such as Congressman Paul Tonko and the Honorable Judge Vero.
This year, we are proud to recognize the Saratoga Springs Police Department Community Engagement Officers: Sergeant Streim, Officer Nicholson, Officer Mandala, Sergeant Hiltz, and Sergeant Ferris.
Their compassion for vulnerable neighbors and dedication to the community-at-large have fostered trust, respect, and collaboration—helping to create a safer and healthier environment for us all. Saratoga Springs is truly in their debt.
