RISE Housing and Support Services has opportunities for empathetic, dedicated, and compassionate individuals to provide peer support to residents of our Dominic Hollow Program in Ballston Spa. A successful candidate will be able to assist residents in cultivating the skills they need to build self-confidence and gain independence. This individual must have the ability utilize their lived experience to appropriately respond to the needs of sensitive populations, such as those recovering from mental health, substance use, and/or homelessness.
RISE offers a Peer Support Specialist:
- A rate of $19 – $21 per hour with a 36 hour workweek

To qualify you must have:
- Experience working with sensitive populations
- NYS Peer Support Specialist Certification desired
- An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
- Excellent conflict management and dispute resolution skills
- Strong interpersonal boundaries
- Our shared belief system in areas such as respect, compassion, and inclusion
- Successful completion of RISE background checks, a valid driver’s license and a driving history acceptable to the RISE automobile policy
