Intake/Crisis Response Specialist

RISE Housing and Support Services is seeking a licensed professional to join the clinic treatment team at the Saratoga County Mental Health Outpatient Treatment Clinic. The ideal candidate will be able to provide high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, families, and adults in both an admission setting and in response to a psychiatric crisis.

 

RISE offers a starting Intake / Crisis Response Specialist:

  • A salary range of $68,000 to $72,000 per year

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Responds to requests for services and referrals, including initial response and screening/assessment, gathering clinical documentation, and prioritizing high risk or complex needs of individuals
  • Designates the appropriate level of care, assigns and schedules initial appointments with clinical staff, monitors admissions, conducts follow-up
  • Acts as a liaison between the Clinic and other agencies, facilitates referrals to appropriate agencies as indicated
  • Manages telephone and walk-in crisis intervention and performs associated triage duties
  • Presents on behalf of programs to promote awareness and elicit new referrals
  • Complies with all relevant regulations governing the program

 

To qualify, you must have:

  • Licensure in New York State as a Registered Professional Nurse; OR Possession of a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related Human Services field, and licensure in New York State as an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT, or LCAT (*Note: Possession of a Limited Permit to practice as an LMSW or Limited Permit in the professions of mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, creative arts therapy may be considered)
  • At least two years of direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-up, and follow-through; strong team player
  • High standards of professional ethics
  • Professional communication skills with an ability to interface with a large number of professionals across disciplines and settings

  • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
  • A vehicle, valid NY State Driver’s License, and a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program are required
