On June 12th, RISE Housing and Support Services proudly celebrated the 2nd Anniversary of the Adelphi Street Shelter—and what an afternoon it was! From noon to 2 PM, community members, partners, and supporters gathered at 4 Adelphi Street to reflect on two years of life-changing, low-barrier shelter and harm reduction services.
The celebration was filled with gratitude, laughter, and a shared commitment to meeting people where they’re at. Guests enjoyed light refreshments, connected with staff, and learned more about the shelter’s mission and the broader work RISE is doing to support individuals experiencing homelessness and instability.

We were especially grateful for the generous donations from attendees. These donations are helping ensure that residents have access to comfort and dignity in their day-to-day lives.

This event wasn’t just a celebration—it was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together with compassion and purpose. From the very beginning, Adelphi Street Shelter has operated as a low-barrier, harm reduction-focused space that uplifts and empowers its guests. The success of the past two years wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters who believe in housing as a human right.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped us mark this milestone!
